How lonely is it at the top?

I know we all have heard a phrase “it becomes very lonely at the top” but how lonely does it really become?

“At the top” to me never really meant “when you are the most successful, rich and famous”, but rather when you are actually trying to get there, meaning trying to improve your own life, shed the old, and transform into the person you are meant to be for your highest good. With doing all of this, all of these needed things in order to become the greatest version of yourself, come a lot of losses. Losses of friendships, acquaintances, and even people you knew for the longest in your life. No matter how sad this may seem, it is the reality which we just can’t really avoid most of the time. After all, it is not up to us whether people want to meet us at the level on which we have met ourselves, whether they want to grow as we do and transform into better versions of themselves. Many times those friends who surround you aren’t willing to do that, and when they see you trying your best to succeed and bloom – they might overlook or not understand that, not want to join you, or simply not care enough, or at all.

But that should always be the goal – to be able to find people who would love to see you at the top, together with them. People who would want to see you win and thrive, and won’t feel any sense of jealousy or discontent with whatever it is you are trying to achieve or do. You don’t really need to let time pass by or know someone for a long time to know whether you want to keep them around, that is just such a false way to think about such things. It can take you a day or even an hour, from just talking to someone and getting to know them to understand whether they are meant to be in our life. Don’t over-complicate things and people, they always have a way of revealing themselves to us, easier than we realize.

There is beauty in being overlooked, undervalued and misunderstood by all the wrong individuals – it creates a pathway to new people who are meant to be on your path. Sometimes God has a plan for us which we can’t seem to be able to have a full glance over or a needed understanding. It becomes more prominent as we are working on ourselves and putting ourselves out there to create the life we want – then we see the higher power working miraculously in our lives, guiding us and supporting us. That is when miracles happen, that is when we start understanding that there is truly a plan for us, we just need to follow our mission and things we have a certain passion towards.

Anything that didn’t go as planned in your life, trust that it is a way of a Universe re-directing you. Things are simple, and become incredibly simple when you listen to your inner guiding voice and develop your intuition. That is actually exactly how you know someone is your person – someone who is sent to you by the higher power with a higher mission, someone to grow together with you and achieve things that have never been achieved before. So, is it lonely at the top? Certainly, when those who either have been in your lives for a long time, or those you just met aren’t willing to be on your vibrational level and aren’t willing to meet the healthy, positive, successful, thriving and better versions of themselves.
